Hello folks, well after the last few months of killa' events we have our next one up for you...
This month we have our special guest DJ Dynomeastro {Richard Pucci} as well as our fantastic regulars Tim Hellzapopin' & Kid Krupa playing the very best Jazz, Swing, Jump & Blues all on original 78rpm records.

Early on in the evening from 7.30 pm Gaia will be teaching a Swing Dance class to help you get your feet twitching in the right direction. 

Entry fee is just £7 all evening.

March IS mad!

Mouthful O' Jam March is going to put a spring in your step and make you feel that the sun may actually poke it's head out at some point this year. As usual our hot 78 DJ's will get you moving and keep you there all night with the hottest vintage tunes around. The dance lesson starts at 7.30 pm with our wonderful dance instructor who will take you through your paces and give you all you need to dance socially. Entry only £7! Full course is £50 per person, £90 per couple Bellow is an outline for what we will be covering in the sessions. Please wear comfortable and preferably leather soled shoes or dress shoes with a smooth sole, high heels are great if your comfortable wearing them :-). 8:00pm to 9:30pm, starting Thursday, 9th of May, 2013 Week one: - Frame between lead and follow - Basic Balboa steps for lead and follow - The concept of "language" of Balboa - Intro into a basic Balboa move Week two: - Basic Balboa steps review - Frame review - Move review - Basic Balboa "come around" Week three: - Intro to footwork variations in the basic - Review of "come around" - Building onto the "come around" - Intro into transitions Week four: - Using transitions to create dynamic leading and following - How to incorporate basic moves through transitions Week five: - Reviewing transitions - Transitioning moves together - Combining all moves and basics

November brings us the usual mix of Hot Hot Hot Jazz, Swing, Jump, Blues, R n' B and anything else that is fab dance music that we have on 78rpm records. As you know Kid Krupa is back an did an amazing set last week! As did Tim Hellzapoppin'. Hopefully Swing Maniac will be able to keep up too! October was Hot Hot Hot and it was you the dancers who made it so! We are going to have a guest Instructor! Peter Ayres will be teaching beginners SHAG dance class, so come on down to bop till you drop! I'll be there along with Paul, Swing Maniac (who will be DJIng) to help in anyway we can to those that have questions about a move or a style or spout our knowledge of interesting historical information that you probably wont be too amazed about... ;-)

The band, The Strange Pretty Things were fantastic! There were pretty strange things for sure!Thanks Jimmy and guys! You were well loved by all!
It was just so cool, I cant wait for the next one!
