Mouthful O' Jam July is the first real Summer Jam (we hope). The Usual crew will be spinnin' hot hot hot 78rpm original shellac recordings from the 20's 30's and 40's to keep you on your toes the whole evening. Last Mouthful O' Jam I got out shirted by a regular Mouthful goer and a very loud Hawaiian so I thought a theme this time could be loudest outfit to win a few free drinks, odds are on myself to win as I don't like to be outdone. Our usual free dance lesson will take place from about 7.30pm with the wonderful Gaia our very own American Swing dance instructor and as always a very fair £5 all evening. At the one and only! Mouthful O' Jam is back in June with ermmm... a big Mouthful O' Jazz, Swing, Jump and R n' B, all on hot hot hot original 78rpm records 1920's, 30's and 40's tunes brought to you on vintage equipment by the fantastic Tim Hellzapoppin', Kid Krupa and Swing Maniac who will keep you dancing and jumping all night. So, as Gatsby fever seems to have taken over, you can get a dose of real 20's music from us. Our American Swing dance instructor Gaia will teach you to bust some moves on the dance floor at the Ministry of Jazz. Dance lesson starts at 7.30pm and all for the small cost of £5! After an awesome start to the new year with January and February, Mouthful is being packed not only with people but excitement! We plan to do it all over again. Please note this is the last Mouthful until May as we miss a month in April due to a venue booking. As usual we have hot Jazz, Swing, Jump, Blues and anything else we can get you to dance your socks off to and keep you on the floor all night. Tim Hellzapoppin', Kid Krupa and myself Swing Maniac will be keeping the decks cooking. There is as usual a dance lesson but we haven't confirmed which instructor as yet but we will keep you posted. The lesson starts around 7.30ish then we go on until 2am for the dance and still only £5 all night.
